     Officer Sharon Mooney is a resident of St. Francisville and grew up in West Feliciana Parish.

     Officer Mooney began her law enforcement career in February of 2000 with Zachary Police Department where she worked as a Communications Officer. Mooney attended the L.S.U. Basic Training academy and graduated in May of 2000.

     She was employed by St. Francisville Police Department in October of 2001 as a part-time uniform patrol officer. She went full time in 2002 and remained with the department until August of 2004.

     Officer Mooney then continued her law enforcement career in 2005 as a Deputy Marshal in Foreman, Arkansas. She continued there until she was hired as a Deputy Sheriff for Little River County Sheriff’s Office in Ashdown, Arkansas as the first female ever employed full-time with the department.

     Upon returning to Louisiana Officer Mooney returned to the St. Francisville Police Department in May of 2007 where she continues her career with us today in the uniform patrol division.
